Recycling Guide

Our mission is to make it as easy as possible for you to recycle in Oakwood. Below we have summarized, to the best of our knowledge, a list of all the possible places to recycle in and around Oakwood.

How: Leave the recyclable items out with your weekly refuse collection.

The Creativity Commons program at the Washington Township Rec Plex accepts many items that the curbside pickup does not, including batteries. You can drop items off at anytime during facility’s open hours.

Subaru of Dayton

Accepts: Wrappers, coffee, creamer, tea pods.
How: Bring your items to

The collected items are sent to Terracycle for recycling.

Hefty ReNew Program

Accepts: Packaging, Bags, Wraps, Foams, Dinnerware
How: Purchase Hefty® ReNew® orange bags. Fill the bag with accepted recycling items. Once full, place it in the Oakwood curbside recycling bin.
Please be sure to check the most up-to-date list of accepted items HERE.
As of this writing, the orange bags are sold at Kroger, Meijer, and Target.
